The power of support

This is a beautiful story about resilience.
My husband is a passionate sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to running.
He uses it not only to stay active but also as a way to connect with others. He often runs with different people, enjoying the conversations, sharing experiences, and encouraging each other along the way.
For his fifth half marathon, he trained hard and created a solid plan to beat his previous time. Everything was going well, but after the 17th kilometer, he began to struggle. In the end, he finished with the same time as before - those 10 minutes he hoped to cut just wouldn’t budge.
But what truly stood out wasn’t the clock , it was the finish. He ended the race in a full sprint!
Later, one of our friends, who had run his very first half marathon and finished just slightly ahead of my husband, came up to me and said:
“Aga, your husband really supported me. I was overwhelmed by the crowd and the atmosphere, but he gave me strength. He really pushed me forward.”
That’s the kind of runner , and person he is.
That’s the story … sometimes the effort isn’t reflected in our own achievement, but in the help we give to others. And that’s the best part.
Supporting each other truly makes a difference.
